Alliance of Women Owned Business

Put the Zing in Your Spring!

May 8th will be an “a-May-Zing” day for a host of local businesses when the Alliance of Women Owned Businesses presents their first Annual Showcase of Businesses Owned by Women! Being held at the Inn at Gig Harbor, with free admission, the local entrepreneurs are looking forward to showcasing their businesses to the public. Merchandise will be available for sale. Service providers will promote and give more information on their businesses.

The a-May-Zing Showcase will be open to the public from 5pm-8pm. Vendor space is already sold out and a full house is expected, as people from the community come to learn about the dynamic businesses being run by these local entrepreneurs. There will be appetizers, a no host bar, door prizes, swag bags and networking; so the public can get to know these AWOB local businesses and find new sources for their needs.

Learn, connect, buy and enjoy!  It will be a great time to find a new professional service or product for your home or business, buy style items for yourself or your home; even make an appointment with a consultant or provider. Many exhibitors will be selling products at the showcase!  Need a photographer or a home concierge?  We know you will find one. Real estate professional, authors, legal services, health experts, home design, financial planners, business strategy and marketing professionals are all here. Our very own women-owned business entrepreneurs are all looking forward to seeing you.
Lisa Markman, AWOB President stated, “We have been looking for a way to showcase our businesses to each other as well as to the public for quite some time; so we are very excited for the public to join us in this special event.” The organization offers a range of meetings all designed to empower women entrepreneurs to achieve higher levels of business success.

“We consider this a benefit of membership,” states Mary Lou Guinn, AWOB Membership Chair. “We are really looking forward to providing this new opportunity for our members to showcase what they bring to the community.”

AWOB is a non-profit membership organization founded in 2010 by a group of women business owners who had a vision of creating a community of learning and support for their peers.
